Our Mission

In collaboration with government and the private sector, actively pursue the development of a regional Cypress Creek Watershed flood reduction/environmental preservation plan designed to achieve the following objectives:

  • Flooding: Research and advocate flood damage reduction measures implemented in advance of urban development on a cost-effective basis.

  • Preservation: Promote park, recreational, forest, and wildlife habitat development consistent with the preservation of the watershed’s natural environment.

  • Education: Enhance communication links between the government and the private sector on matters concerning the Coalition’s mission and objectives.

Cypress Creek Flood Control Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit advocacy organization located in Northwest Harris County that  does not receive any government funding.

Because of sustaining voluntary, generous financial support by some of our original Charter and subsequent Municipal Utility District   members, we are able to carry out our “PURPOSE” prescribed by the Articles of Incorporation, completely free of charge to any and all home owners and non-member MUD and HOA community organizations within the Cypress Creek Watershed.
